Why we run
Why not join us on a Tuesday and have a go?
Andy Kwok Martin Tony Why we run summaries
Running is part of my lifestyle; it keeps me fit, it helps me relax, allows me to eat and drink without worrying about my weight and I love the races. Well that’s what I’d say! The race bag and long suffering lady better known as my lovely wife Katie would tell the truth.
I’d say I’m happy with my performance when I’ve completed a race. Katie will tell you I don’t stop whinging about how I should have knocked a couple of minutes off my time or gave it more grieve to finish with a better place.
I’d say I like to get to races in plenty of time, Katie will tell you we arrive far too early and she can’t do a thing to stop me twitching to the race starts. In the meantime she has to look around trying to find a coffee in a strange town carting a bag with my gear in.
I’d say running helps me relax, but it’s not the end of the world if I don’t. Katie will tell you if I don’t run I’m a pain in the proverbial and that I don’t stop twitching and can’t relax.
In all I say I love running, but like many I would struggle without the support of my better half. Thanks Katie!!
