Information

Sheldon Brown
Sheldon Brown is a mathematician, computer scientist and real cycling enthusiast. Don't be put off by the eccentricities; the technical bike information is comprehensive, detailed and accessible.

His wife is another computer scientist & mathematician. Her web-site has a great account of her experience in the Paris-Brest-Paris event — 1,200 km in 90 hours — in 1975 (when there were very few women in it, and even less finishing…)

Bike thefts

Two videos that are instructive viewing for anyone in London (or elsewhere).

Bike TV and You Tube

CC TV won't protect your bike. Thieves often ride slowly in pairs on crappy bikes. When they see a bike they like the pick the lock, ditch the crappy bike & disappear. All people see is one person locking / unlocking "their" bike with their cyclist pal waiting for them.

Repairs

Mend-a-Bike Ltd (West London)

Kevin Worster is the Cycle Doctor, in Canary Wharf (London). As well as repairs he does courses.
